Quiet water with its gentle movement and the colors reflected, have always had a mesmerizing effect on me.
In this piece, I was inspired by a photo I took of the water as seen from above. As is often the case, I stylized the shapes and saturated the color creating a painting far removed from the photograph from which it was derived.
The result is a painting, which emotes the calming effect water has always had on me. This image is an invitation to mentally let go of life’s troubles and fall into that quiet inner space which exists within us all.
Painted to be hung horizontally or vertically.
