Giclee Prints
The museum quality giclee print offered by Margaret Biggs, is a high resolution, digital print of archival quality. The process is started with a professional photograph of the image taken with a very large format digital camera. Together with special optics and a professional lighting system, every nuance of the painting is captured.
To print, a fine stream of inks are sprayed onto specially treated archival paper or canvas. Color Fade Resistant Archival Inks are used. The vibrancy of color and level of detail is unparalleled. The inks coupled with the highest quality paper or canvas, resists fading for decades. Please keep in mind it is necessary to use archival mats and backing as well as UV glass. The giclee print is now a recognized fine art print making method just as the lithograph.
All canvas images are printed on a fine art digital canvas. Each are stretched on a 1.25" deep stretcher bar and sprayed with a protective varnish. The paper images are printed on 100% cotton rag fiber fine art paper.
